A student wants to publish a painful thought immediately after a discussion. I propose that we write it first in a private place and then decide whether to share it later.

In the hypothetical example, the second reading distinguishes the need to be heard from the desire to strike someone. Keeping a sentence to yourself does not mean being ashamed of it.

It means choosing audience, details and moment. This proposal does not prevent seeking support: a direct conversation with a trusted person can begin even before publication.
