Autonomy comes first
Asking for help, stopping or taking a break must always be possible. Refusal is not an error and is never punished.

Altrove by Alfonsina is a free digital app, ready to support children and young people with different needs in communication, learning and everyday participation.
A complete, gentle and customisable environment, built around the person rather than a single idea of normality.

Altrove by Alfonsina
Altrove does not mean absence, distance or exclusion. Children are here, with us.
The name expresses adults’ willingness to change perspective: to listen to different rhythms and respect other ways of perceiving, communicating, reading and learning.
Altrove is a meeting place: a shared space built together, without asking anyone to surrender their own way of being.

Principles
Asking for help, stopping or taking a break must always be possible. Refusal is not an error and is never punished.
Images, symbols, text and voice help each person express needs, emotions, preferences and choices.
Visual routines, reading, writing and study adapt to each person’s timing and preferred way of learning.
No automatic clinical classification, no invasive use of data and no sharing without permission.
The app
Communication, autonomy, reading, routines and family collaboration come together in one simple, coherent experience.

Everything begins with the person: communication, daily activities, reading, emotions, play and personal space.

Augmentative communication makes needs, preferences and choices immediately expressible.

Visual routines, one step at a time, always with the freedom to ask for a break.

A quiet, adjustable environment for stopping, breathing and finding one’s own pace.

An accessible library to read or listen to, with the option to open personal texts.

Text, spacing and voice adapt to the person’s reading needs.

Illustrated questions support understanding calmly and without pressure.

Words, images and connections make the story’s steps and meanings visible.

A protected space to compose, listen back to and keep thoughts and words.

Situations and meanings are explored together without imposing a single interpretation.

A cooperative game in which each person adds their own piece to a shared path.

Families personalise routines, follow activities and manage access in a protected environment.
Altrove by Alfonsina
Altrove is meant to be accessible: no subscription and no financial barrier between a person and the tools they may need. Any financial support remains voluntary and is reserved for adults.
A project that does not ask people to adapt to the world, but tries to make the world better able to welcome them.
