Shift change can disrupt activities that require continuity. Incomplete orders, special requests and anomalies must be understandable to those who take over. A communication entrusted only to memory risks losing just the exceptions that require more attention.

I propose a short recording centered on open work. For each element you need state, next action and necessary information. The document should also indicate what has already been resolved, preventing the next person from repeating checks or contacts for no reason.

Let's imagine a customer waiting for a delivery confirmation. If the successor knows the last answer of the supplier, he can continue. A generic note such as “call customer” could instead lead to a phone call without the expected information and a further postponement.

The quality of the passage occurs by observing errors and requests for clarification. Too many notes can become difficult to use. The format must be adapted to real activities, with understandable responsibilities and a place of consultation accessible to the people who have to complete the work.
