A new technology is presented as a definitive solution to fraud. I propose that we also consider the adaptation of behaviours and the misuse of the same tools.

In the hypothetical example, a plausible document can be created more easily and require further verification. This is not to say that every innovation makes the problem worse.

Benefits and new risks need to be assessed. Control must evolve along with the process, avoiding absolute promises that make the remaining vulnerabilities less visible.
