The meaning of
everything.

It is said that every person has a superhero or heroine. Mine is my mother—the person who gave meaning to my existence.

When the world seemed too large, she was my refuge; when difficulties seemed impossible, she was my strength. When I could not understand which road to take, she was the light that showed me the way. In her voice I always found comfort, in her sacrifices I found love, and in her silences I found understanding. She devoted her life to building ours, placing our needs before everything and everyone—needs that, for her, were always absolute duties.

Some lessons are learned from books; others are learned by observing an extraordinary person.

From her I learned the value of dignity, courage, kindness and perseverance. I learned that true love is not measured in words, but in constant presence, availability, concern, everyday gestures and the silent sacrifices that no one sees.

The person who gave meaning to my existence.

If I am who I am today, I owe it only to her—to the hands that supported me whenever I fell.

She always believed in me even more than I believed in myself, even when everything seemed impossible. She always held a magical and magnificent vision of what would come. She gave me a wonderful life, full in every emotional, moral, educational and material sense. No words could ever thank her fully: how could an entire lifetime of love be contained in one speech? How could one fully describe a person who has been home, family, protection and hope?

Throughout this website, every project is dedicated to her. Not because the other people in my life do not deserve gratitude, affection or recognition, but because she occupies a place that no one else could ever fill.

03 · The root

I can only say that if I learned to recognise goodness, I owe it to her, because I first saw it in her. She is not only my mother: she is the root from which I come, the strength that sustains me and the most beautiful memory I will always carry in my heart.

In other words, the meaning of everything.
